Review: Bed of the Dead by Louisa Bacio

Title: Bed of the Dead
Author: Louisa Bacio
Published: August 2012 Hot Ink Press
Format: Ebook provided by Sizzling PR for review

When Chloe places an Online ad for some kinky sex, she doesn’t expect to hook up with a vampire coven. But sleeping in the bed of the dead isn’t all she expected. Instead of a cold lay, she craves some warm flesh. Fortunately, gorgeous surfer-boy Seth is more than willing to share his humanity.

Chloe was looking for some kinky bondage play on Craigslist.  She found it, but not on Craigs. Her kinky bondage play came in the form of Nicholas, vampire.

This was a fun little story, I liked it.  But to be honest, I am finding it hard to review!  It's hard to review because this short was exactly that - short.  We're talking just a few pages.  I tend to get a bit lengthy in my reviews, so I'm really finding this to be a challenge.  But that's a perk of book blogging, I get to challenge myself!

This story managed to pack in a bunch of information in a very short amount of time.  You get a touch of heat, a touch of romance and emotion, and a touch of danger.  And then on top of that you even get the feeling that there was a bit of sadness in this story.  Now, being that it is a Blaze Short, I can't tell you very much.  But I feel it was well written and a fabulous teaser.  I definitely found myself caring for some of the characters (namely, Seth) and fearing others (Nicholas!).  I think that any author that can do that in just a couple pages definitely has talent and I will definitely be looking for more of Louisa Bacio's writing in the future.
