Please welcome Jordan K Rose to Fictional Candy, as she speaks about some of my favorite things - candy , and vampires! Woohoo!!
Thank you for the post, Jordan, and best of luck with your release!
Synopsis:
Fate
is cruel. Especially when the one you’ve sworn to love for all eternity, the
very soul who changed your destiny is the last person you should trust.
After
more than three hundred years of running, Lucia Dicomano must make a choice.
Forced
to take her place as a Pharo of Redemption, the divine slayer needs to master
her forgotten powers. Lucia turns to Vittorio, the one vampire she’s failed to
deliver from eternal damnation. But overcoming smoldering remnants of love,
lust and anger aren’t their only obstacles.
Samuel,
who may know Lucia better than she knows herself, hunts her with a fervor
stoked by a thousand years of vengeful hatred. His plan—capture and enslave the
weakened Pharo then take control of her elusive power.
Can
Lucia trust Vittorio long enough to reclaim her powers? Or will she have no
choice but to kill him and battle Samuel alone?
Hi Liz. Thanks so much for letting me stop by Fictional
Candy on my Perpetual Light Blog Tour. I love your philosophy that fiction is
like candy for the brain. I totally agree. And who doesn’t like candy?
Not me. I love candy. Fictional or otherwise. I thought
today I’d compare my favorite type of romance with my favorite candy.
Paranormal romance is my favorite subgenre, although, I
enjoy all the others to varying degrees. In terms of candy—I love chocolate.
However, I enjoy all sweets, just not as much as chocolate. I’m just a bit of a
paranormal fiend. Similarly, I’m a chocaholic. (I believe they say knowing is
half the battle!)
I can resist a historical or a suspense or a regency or an
inspirational, but if you throw in a paranormal element, I’m there. And, if
that paranormality happens to be a vampire, I’m probably addicted, sitting in a
state of awe that could easily be confused for a diabetic coma.
According to my
Fictional Candy rating scale paranormal romance equals chocolate. I love
chocolate. Chocolate anything. Truffles. Chocolate covered cherries, pretzels,
nuts, fruit. Hot chocolate. Tea. Coffee, that makes mocha, doesn’t it? Ice
cream. You get where I’m going, right? Hot fudge…
My absolute favorite chocolate is dark chocolate. Now, this
isn’t just because it tastes better. Lord knows milk chocolate is amazing. But,
in an effort to make some attempt to be health conscious I try to eat dark
chocolate. You know, less fat, calories, whatever. And I’m pretty sure the
Health Department advices women to eat it, every day. Who am I to disagree with
that advice?
So, vampires being my absolute favorite paranormal creature
are synonymous with dark chocolate. Rich
and dark, robust, yet smooth, possibly nutty or fruity, spicy or refreshingly
minty. So many options. So many vampires. My mouth’s watering thinking about
vampires and chocolate. Love them!
Well, that’s done it. I now need both dark chocolate and a vampire.
I’m heading over to the TBR pile to grab a book and downstairs to my stash of
chocolate covered cherries from Sweenor’s Chocolates. I’ll see you on the
flipside of my coma!
But when I get back I want to know about your favorite
subgenre and your favorite candy. And, I’m offering a $10 gift certificate to Harvard
Sweet Boutique. You can’t beat their sweets. So leave me a comment for a chance
to win. To increase your chances of

About the Author:
After
trying her hand at many, many things- from crafting and art classes to cooking
and sewing classes to running her own handbag business, Jordan finally figured
out how to channel her creativity. With an active imagination and a little
encouragement from her husband she sat down and began to write, each night
clicking away at the keys with her black Labrador, Dino curled up under the
desk.
A
few short years later she’s entered the publishing arena with no plans to ever
turn back.
