Reader Warning: This book contains lots of scorching sex (dirty dirty dirty sex), adult language (hanky panky with no dirty talk is no fun), and violence. If this is not the kind of stuff you like to read, skip this book. However, if you like dirty, raunchy sex with a hot bear on one curvy sarcastic girl, then this is right up your alley. Enjoy!
So now we are two books into Paranormal Dating Agency, and I'm really liking it. While I liked the first book (link below) a smidge better than this one - Geek Bearing Gifts was really good!
So now it's Nita's turn to go see Mrs. Wilder to be set up on a date with a shifter. Mrs. Wilder is awesome. She's like the Dalai Lama of dating. You want it perfect, she is one step ahead. So yeah, I like her. She's a bold, older lady, and she pretty much rocks.
Nita is Tally's cousin, and she is a lot like Tally. She's curvy and just not getting what she needs out of the dating scene. In book one we got a bit of foreshadowing of this book when Nita spoke wistfully of Ky, the one guy in the world who made her feel like a cherished person. Now in her book, she's about to come head to head with her past - and she won't even recognize it. And THAT is what bothered me.
Ky is an Alpha Bear, he's the geek that Nita once secretly loved - and he secretly loved her back. So when they have this unexpected reunion he is thanking his lucky stars that Mrs. Wilder and fate put Nita at his door. Meanwhile Nita does not even recognize him. Ok, here's the thing - she doesn't realize it's him, yet at the same time she keeps inner reminiscing about Ky the bear that she was friends with, and how this new Ky the bear reminds her of someone she used to know. This goes on for most of the book and it irritated me to no end. It made me think Nita was a bit ignorant. She can't put two and two together, and it's a low point for me.
BUT - and yes, there is a BUT! The romance is awesome. These two are obviously meant for each other. The tension is high, the sex is extremely hot, and the flirting is fantastic. Milly Taiden writes in a flawless way that draws the reader in. She is and will always be one of my favorite authors. I love bear shifters the most out of all shifters, so I was excited for this book. Ultimately I was not let down, and can't wait to read book three!
