Cruise Into Eden, by Lexi Post (Excerpt & Giveaway)

Cruise Into Eden
Lexi Post

After eleven years of forced abstinence, television Sci-fi employee and IT geek Erin Danielson, boards a nude cruise in the hopes of finally getting lucky. It seems her luck has changed when two handsome men with ripped bodies, enticing accents, and hearts of gold invite her into their stateroom. But if this erotic ménage seems too good to be true, then…

Nassic Wild and Wareson Night hail from the planet Eden, where women are scarce, and their mission is simple—meet the woman they’ve been waiting for for the last eleven years, bond with her and take her home. At first all goes according to plan as they pleasure her with their bodies and their special abilities. But when their best intentions lead to the worst results they lose her, along with their hearts.

Now they must find a way to woo her back or return to Eden with no hope for the future.

Friday is here!!  Hope you are all ready for it!  Do you have any exciting plans?  Not so much at my house.  The neighboring town is having a weekend long festival, so we will probably go to that, along with a parade that lasts over two hours!!  It's a lot of fun though!

Anyway!  Today I have Lexi Post here with an excerpt and a giveaway for the release of her book Cruise Into Eden, which releases today!  Hope you all enjoy the glimpse, and good luck on the giveaway!  Have a great weekend!

Kindred

Imagine my surprise when I started writing CRUISE INTO EDEN and my two heroes, yes two, decided they didn’t have real last names. Huh? Yup, they took fake last names to make the heroine more comfortable with meeting them, but on their planet, Eden, families go by their Kindred.

Okay, so I just had to ask Nassic and Wareson what they meant by “kindred.” To me it sounded like some kind of extended family, but it turns out to be much more complicated and important than that. According to these Edenists, Nase is from the Kindred of Mind and Ware is from the Kindred of Air. With this particular distinction comes a natural birthmark. In Nase’s case it is a spiral that graces his left biceps (seen on the cover) and with Ware it is two dots in a row with three dots in a row beneath and this birthmark is found on his right shoulder.

But even more than the birthmarks they are born with, these men have abilities based on their kindred. For example, Ware can move air simply by focusing his gaze and make the push of air

stronger or softer, depending on what he is doing (see excerpt below). Nase’s ability is completely different. Even people within one kindred can have different abilities, and not all “families” will be born with the same kindred marking as it is dependent on the individual’s genetics. See? Like I said, it gets complicated.

So I for one am glad that Nase and Ware don’t have real last names. I hope you enjoy discovering their abilities in CRUISE INTO EDEN as much as Erin does.

Always, Lexi

In little time, she had unplugged the drain and turned on the rain-head shower. Ware crossed his arms to keep himself in check. The water washed the soap suds down her curves, and he watched them disappear past her defined calves. When the water shut off, he moved his gaze upward until he met hers.

“Can you hand me a towel?”

He shook his head. “Step out. I want to dry you.”

“Okay.” Her cautious voice had him chuckling inside. If she wondered at him drying her, how would she react when they told her about Eden? His only hope on that score was her lifetime interest in science fiction. He lowered his brows. At least he hoped it had been a lifetime interest.

“Ware?”

He looked her in the eyes briefly, happy to be reminded of his task, then dropped his gaze to her toes. Slowly, he air-touched her, moving the air against her feet to push the water droplets off. Inch by inch he raised his gaze and his stream of air up her legs. As he dried the triangle of hair that hid her sweet woman’s sheath, he resisted the urge to ask her to spread her legs. If he stroked her there, he wouldn’t be able to control himself in the bonding.

Instead he shifted his gaze farther up her body, watching her stomach go concave as she sucked in her breath. When he reached her breasts she shivered.

“Are you cold?”

Her voice trembled slightly as she spoke. “No. Actually, I’m hot.”

He bit down on the grin that wanted to appear and added a bit of pressure against her nipples, already hard from his touch, but he enjoyed the vision of her pebbled areolas. As he made his way up her neck, he lightened the push of air. “Close your eyes.”

This time he did grin, pleased with how quick she was to obey. When he reached her hair he stopped. “Turn around.”

She did as he asked and he slowly pushed the water from her body. When he finished, he uncrossed his arms and picked up a towel. “Here. You can dry your hair with this. It will take far too long for me to do it and we both know Nase is not that patient.”

As she took the towel, she studied him. “You know, you are going to have to show me how you do that before this cruise is over. That is a trick that I just have to learn.” She bent over and threw the towel around her hair, twisting it. She stood and tucked it into itself somehow.

“What if I told you it wasn’t a trick, but a special power I have?”

“I would be thrilled but disappointed because that would mean I can’t learn it.” She gave him a cocky smile. “But we both know it’s a trick. As much as I sigh over super powers and alien worlds, even I know there are no such things.” With that remark she sauntered out of the room, her naked ass teasing him.

He waited a moment. “It’s not a trick.” When he had himself under control enough to complete the bonding, he left, and made for Nase’s bedroom.

Lexi Post spent years in higher education taking and teaching courses about classical literature. From the early American short story, Edgar Allan Poe’s "The Masque of the Red Death" to the 20th century American epic The Grapes of Wrath, from War and Peace to the Bhagavad Gita, she's read, studied, and taught great classic literature.

But Lexi's first love is romance novels. In an effort to marry her two first loves, she started writing erotic romance inspired by the classics and found she loved it.  Lexi feels there is no end to the romantic inspiration she can find in great classic literature.

Lexi lives with her husband and cat in the Caribbean where gorgeous sunsets, warm weather, and driving on the left are the norm. She makes her own ice cream every weekend, loves bright colors, and you will never see her without a hat (unless she is going incognito).
