Title: Fighting For Irish
Series: Fighting For Love #3
Author: Gina L Maxwell
Published: January 2014, Entangled Brazen
Format: Ebook received for review

He'll fight for her life. She'll fight for his love.

Kat MacGregor has forty-eight hours to make good on the debt her ex-boyfriend owes a crime boss. Unfortunately, the measly tips she makes waitressing are barely enough for her to live on, much less cover the twenty-thousand needed to keep her breathing. With time running out, Kat 's forced to accept help from the only man who's ever made her feel fire rather than fear.

When he learns a friend's sister is in trouble, former Boston MMA fighter Aiden "Irish" O'Brien heads to Louisiana to offer himself up as collateral to keep her safe. But to satisfy the debt, he has to do the one thing he swore hed never do again: fight. With more than just money on the line, will Irish have what it takes to not only reclaim the man he once was, but become the man he needs to be for the woman he can't live without?

Gina L Maxwell is a fantastic writer, and if you haven’t caught up with this series –you really need to. It’s got high sexual tension, lots of drama and action, sexy people and MMA – really, you can’t go wrong.

In this book, our hero is Irish. Not just an ethnicity, it’s his nickname. Irish is ex-MMA, and a friend of Jax’s from Rules of Entanglement (Book two in the Fighting For Love series). I LOVED Jax, but I think Irish has him beat, hands down. Rough and gruff, with a strong need to protect, he came onto the scene and I had stars in my eyes. Jax has asked him to watch after Kat, who is Vanessa’s sister, and so Irish heads to Tennessee. And Kat doesn’t know. Ooooohhh yeah, this is gonna be good.

Kat is a firecracker!! We knew she was in and out of trouble, and of course, in this book you get all the details about it. Despite some bad decisions she’s made, and a horrible history where men are concerned – this woman is a fighter. Hell, if you put her in a cage with Irish, I’m pretty sure she would kick the snot out of him! I really liked her, the whole way through.

So these two fall in love, obviously. And they are too guilt-ridden over their own pasts to allow themselves happiness! But once those walls are broken down, it’s like you could hear a chorus sing, “awwwww!” They lit up my kindle. Seriously, it was on fire!! They had some intimate scenes that just were so damn hot and sexy; I couldn’t have stopped reading if a train was heading right for me!

You also get “the bad guy” in this book, and in this case its mafia related. That ex of Kat’s, Lenny, sure was a weasel, and brought her down with him when it came time to pay up. But Irish is there, and there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his lady.

I loved this book. It was fantastic. It was high energy and fast paced, and the chemistry was off the charts. Definitely a great read and a terrific continuation of the series. Don’t put this on your TBR; put it on your “Must Read!”
