Hi, everyone! I want to thank Liz here at Fictional Candy for letting me stop by to talk about my latest Harmless release, A Little Harmless Fantasy. If you don’t know me, my name is Melissa Schroeder and I write from historical to futuristic and in heat levels from sensual to erotic. I am best known for my erotic Harmless series set mainly in Hawaii.
A Little Harmless Fantasy is the 8th book in the regular series and I always get excited about jumping back in. There are two things I love about writing the Harmless series. The first is that I get to return to Hawaii, even if it is in my head. I think sometimes you can forget how beautiful a place is if you aren’t reminded. For people who have never been to Hawaii or lived there like I did for three years, you sort of get used to that beauty. You expect it every day. Even the more questionable parts of Honolulu are pretty IMHO. Okay, some of the back alleys aren’t, but you know what I mean. We go back regularly now. Still, it is nice to recall those memories, from our time living there and our visits back. Especially when it is cold outside and I can pretend I am on a beach in Hawaii.
The second thing I love about writing the Harmless books is one thing my Addicts always say they love: getting to visit old friends. Many of the Harmless characters make appearances, especially Micah Ross and Evan Chambers. It’s like getting to visit with old friends I haven’t seen in awhile and catch up on all the gossip. Quite a few of them are moving on with their lives having babies, starting new careers…and my Addicts love to catch up with them.
