So this weekend I cracked into MAKE ME, which is by far one of the very best boxed sets I’ve seen. Of course, any follower of mine knows I’ve already 5 starred and favorited Wanderlust from Skye Warren. Well, this weekend I read The Hostage Bargain by Annika Martin.

Before starting this book, it’s safe to say I knew nothing of Annika Martin. Now she is on my radar, and I’m not letting her off. The Hostage Bargain was sexy, dangerous, even more sexy, hot and fun. I have a special love for captivity in my dark erotica. This book hit all of my check marks, and I have already bought the second book in the series and I’m eagerly waiting for my chance to continue the story of Zeus, Thor, Odin, and Isis.

So Melinda is this teller at a bank, a bank run by an udder jerkoff. But it basically comes down to the fact she has no choice, a job is a job and money is money. And she definitely needs money. Her parents died not too long ago, and Melinda is the oldest of she and her sisters. They run the family farm, and none of them want to see that disappear. So her dreams of travelling and adrenalin rushes are pushed to the wayside to take care of her family. Right away I liked Melinda. She seemed to have a strong core strength, she was funny, and very personable. I could see myself wanting to hang out with Melinda, she just seemed like good people.

Odin simply smiled his evil smile. Thor could get a certain mischievous grin, but Odin had an evil, glittering-eyed smile that made you feel like he was gazing right into your deepest, darkest secret - and lewdly violating each and every one of them.

Zeus was a force, like a storm: frightening and magnificent to behold, with a charged power churning inside.

And then one fateful day, three robbers come in to rob the bank – dressed as zombies. Oh yes, I love them immediately. But even under their disguises, there is heat and chemistry with Melinda. Through a twisted set of circumstances, she ends up becoming their hostage… their willing hostage.

Oh, how I loved these boys. First I was drawn to Thor, who seems to be the kindest of the bunch. He’s got the boy next door feeling, but with a very sexy edge. He laughs, he jokes, and he does his best to make Melinda feel comfortable and at ease. Next up is Odin, and he seems kind of like the intellectual of the group. Dark and sexy, he pays attention to detail and picks up on things that aren’t said. His intellect is sexy, and so is his freaky nature. Lastly we have Zeus, who I didn’t not like. But Zeus is the one with some issues due to some things from the past. It takes a while to warm up to Zeus, but once he lets you in, you know you aren’t getting out. Together these guys are like the trifecta of hotness and ménage fun. It’s no wonder Melinda didn’t exactly mind being taken hostage!

This story is HOT. It’s all m-f-m. Annika Martin’s writing style is fabulous – I finished the book in less than a day. Seriously, I couldn’t put it down. There are some definite high adrenalin scenes packed in with exciting twists and turns. Heck, there is even emotion and drama. It’s just plain awesome from beginning to end. And did I say it was hot? You'd better turn on the air conditioning when you read this, because you will definitely be sweating! Even when the touchy points came and I thought it was time to throw in the towel, I was still super-glued to my kindle.
