Hidden Depths
Aubrianna Hunter
She is pierced, dyed and tattooed, born on the wrong side of the tracks. He is a traditional white knight born of the proverbial silver spoon. Their meeting was an accident, the fact that they became even the most tentative of friends, an anomaly. The only real thing they had in common... chemistry. Lots of chemistry. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough and Gia knew it. Now, if only she could convince her body...Hey everyone! Welcome to my stop on the Hidden Depths tour, by Aubrianna Hunter! Today I have Aubrianna stopping by with a guest post about how she came up with the characters for Josh and Gia. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you get a chance to read Hidden Depths! I know its on my TBR :)
Josh had always walked the line, lived the life he was expected to live. He had, by all accounts, the perfect life; a corporate lawyer, a beautiful home, a family empire to run, and the perfect fiancee. He was well on his way. The only question he had... was that really where he wanted to go? Plagued by dreams, Josh fought all his natural instincts, denying not only what he truly wanted but who he was deep down inside. Until one crazy night when he gave in to his desires...
Could these two polar opposites have more in common than even they realize?

Thank you so much for having me here today. I'm doing a blog tour to promote my book Hidden Depths, book one in a series. One of the questions I get asked a lot is where did my characters come from? I thought I would address that with a little more detail today.
Gia, or Georgia Ann McClellan, is actually a wonderful blend of people I know and a lot of myself. Her background is a fictional blend of people I know currently and a couple I have met over the years. I wanted her to be soft despite her harsh background. She just hides it beneath a veneer of tough. Her clothing choices... well, those came from me. If I were still in my twenties, that would be how I would dress. Pieces are still things I wear now. The torn jeans, black T-shirts, black boots, and yes... the purple lipstick. While she has her own neuroses, her own fears, a lot of her sarcasm and biting humor came from me as well. I love Gia... She gets to say and do everything I think without any of the social ramifications I would face.
Josh... Josh was the perfect balance for Gia, and honestly a lot of fun for me to write. He was very different on the surface than my normal male lead. I very definitely have a type... I love dark, dangerous, slightly damaged men. What can I say? But Josh was so perfectly All American, you just knew there had to be more underneath. I love getting into the layers of people, finding out what secrets they hide. And admit it, we all have them. The person we present to the world, and the one we try to keep buried, sometimes even from ourselves. That's the person I want to know. And Josh had many, many layers. Secrets just waiting to be released, to break free. You can't hide forever. So, letting him out to play, with the one person in his whole world that wouldn't balk at his... let's say quirks... well, that was just too much fun!
I am currently writing Hidden Desires, Deb's story. I am hoping to have it ready for release in May or June of this year. So, stay tuned. I think you'll find there's much more the Deb than meets the eye as well.

About the Author:
I am often asked; who is Aubrianna Hunter? And the truth is the answer isn't a simple one. Beyond being a dedicated wife and mother, I was raised by a Marine, and married into the Navy.
Needless to say I can go toe to toe with the most sarcastic people you have met, and can dish insults and curse with the best of them. I blurt wildly inappropriate things at precisely the moment when the room goes quiet, so much so that my co-author has nicknamed me Ted... Yes... After the bear in the movie.
Recently my husband has replaced calling me crazy with calling me "Creative", but the tone he uses to do it makes me question his sincerity. Though honestly, crazy is probably closer to reality. I like my hectic life, in fact I thrive in the chaos and would have it no other way.
