Title: Goldie and the Three Bears
Series: No
Author: Honey Jans
Published: Whiskey Creek Press Torrid
When Goldie Lockwood, a half breed Were-Bear with no powers, runs away from her clan the last thing she expects to run into is the trio of Were-Bear studs of her erotic dreams. It’s mating season and she isn’t even in the running, being a dud DNA-wise. But when they touch her she can’t resist making them her harem. Just who seduces who in this twisted tale? And will Goldilocks find the Were-Bear mate that’s just right?
Goldie, nicknamed for her golden hair – real nickname Honey, is at her grandfather’s cabin working… well, sleeping at her laptop when she hears a noise. Someone is in the house. She does the right thing – she takes off outside. That’s the first thing I liked about Goldie, she didn’t stay inside and investigate, she took off. Self preservation wins big in my book. But then someone take a shot at her!! So again, she takes off running – and then she sees a cabin all lit up. Just perfect for this little half breed werebear!
No one is home when she gets there , but it isn’t long. I thought this story was really fun how it followed Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I’ve read a few erotic romance stories that try to follow fairytales and such, and many of them fall flat. I felt that Goldie and the Three Bears took an original take on the story. Honey Jans made it her own, and I am excited to read more of her work.
These werebears aren’t ordinary bears though – they have abilities. Abilities? Yep, like super powers. The Bear brothers, Cruz, Tyson aned Lane, all have powers. And Goldie has a little something up her sleeve. When the four of them get together it is definitely a treat!
Ok, so some of my readers might be aware that I love werebears. Yes, I have a bit of a predisposition to them. They are big, aggressive, gruff, and beneath that fur they usually have a heart the size of… well, a bear. And Cruz is the head bear in the Bear house. And he is wonderful. He possesses all of my favorite traits, and he is not shy when he meets Goldie. No games here, the man is about business, and business is booming!
So this story is an erotic paranormal romance, and I felt that it was really great on all three of those levels. The sex scenes were all great and hot, but the ones with Cruz and Goldie could melt the paint off a car.
And for people looking for more than just sex – this story has that too. Don’t forget, someone broke into Goldie’s house and took a shot at her. Who could it be? Well, no, I’m not going to tell you. That would defeat all purposes of this review! But if you want a quick hot read, I think you would do well to pick up this book. It was fun and a great page turner.
