Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes (Review)

Title: Hidden Bodies
Series: You #2
Author: Caroline Kepnes
Release Date: February 23, 2016 - Atria
Format: EGalley
Pages: 448 per Goodreads

Joe Goldberg is no stranger to hiding bodies. In the past ten years, this thirty-something has buried four of them, collateral damage in his quest for love. Now he’s heading west to Los Angeles, the city of second chances, determined to put his past behind him.

In Hollywood, Joe blends in effortlessly with the other young upstarts. He eats guac, works in a bookstore, and flirts with a journalist neighbor. But while others seem fixated on their own reflections, Joe can’t stop looking over his shoulder. The problem with hidden bodies is that they don’t always stay that way. They re-emerge, like dark thoughts, multiplying and threatening to destroy what Joe wants most: true love. And when he finds it in a darkened room in Soho House, he’s more desperate than ever to keep his secrets buried. He doesn’t want to hurt his new girlfriend—he wants to be with her forever. But if she ever finds out what he’s done, he may not have a choice...

Well finally.  Hidden Bodies.  I waited a long time for this book.  I read it last month, and I honestly loved it - with a few exceptions.

YOU by Caroline Kepnes (Review!)

Title: You
Series: Standalone
Author: Caroline Kepnes
Published: Sept 30, 2017 - Atria
Format: Galley
Pages: approx 430

Love hurts...

When aspiring writer Guinevere Beck strides into the East Village bookstore where Joe works, he’s instantly smitten. Beck is everything Joe has ever wanted: She’s gorgeous, tough, razor-smart, and as sexy as his wildest dreams.

Beck doesn’t know it yet, but she’s perfect for him, and soon she can’t resist her feelings for a guy who seems custom made for her. But there’s more to Joe than Beck realizes, and much more to Beck than her oh-so-perfect façade. Their mutual obsession quickly spirals into a whirlwind of deadly consequences . . .

A chilling account of unrelenting passion, Caroline Kepnes’s You is a perversely romantic thriller that’s more dangerously clever than any you’ve read before.

Have you ever read a book that was so insanely good, you were afraid to write the review because you didn't think you could accurately convey the freaking awesome nature of the book?  That's me with this book.  I just finished it a couple days ago, and it is still right on the forefront of my brain.  This is a book that I need to buy in print so I can have it on my shelf.  Maybe all by itself.  Not that I'd put it all alone on a bookshelf, cause you know, that'd be crazy.   Ahem (cough cough)
