Katrina’s Lesson in Social Media Disasters or How Technology Can Bite You In The Ass!

Katrina Phillips is an expert social media manager. But that doesn’t mean she can’t make mistakes. Horrible, hide-in-your-closet-forever mistakes... like accidentally syncing her BootyBook app with her online profiles.

Blammo. Now everyone in the world can see who Katrina has dated and how they rated in appearance, sexual performance, and (OMG) detailed descriptions of their manly parts! Now her phone is blowing up with irate exes—and an out-of-the-blue text from the only guy who came close to a perfect score...

Katrina has had a thing for Drew Jordan since forever ago, even if a booze-fuelled one-nighter did destroy their friendship. So why is he suddenly texting her now—and is it because she rated his Sexy Staff Of Manliness as “magnificent”? Now the only way to satisfy her curiosity is to reunite with Drew... and rate him all over again!

Bite Size Review!

I picked this book up on NetGalley because it was by one of my very favorite authors, Erin McCarthy.  So I didn't even have to read the blurb or anything.  Perfect 10 turned out to be a fun and quick read!

It starts with Katrina, who has a new phone - that she didn't really take the time to read or learn about.  Suddenly her phone is blowing up with text messages.  For the first few seconds she's flattered by what appears to be renewed interest from her exes, until she realizes... something is wrong.  Her BootyBook app (is this a real app?  I'm sure either it must be, or there are some like it!) has synced with her facebook!! Yikes, oh holy hell!!  I try to be super careful about that word "sync" on my phone.  It scares the bejeezus out of me!  I can only imagine the sheer terror I would have if this happened to me!  But it happened to Katrina, so it was funny ;) And hey, it does end up reuniting her with "the one that got away", Drew.  So it's all good.  And hey, Drew wears a kilt in this book, and that was super sexy in itself!

Drew waited for them to go in front of him, his hand once again resting on Katrina's back and staying there the whole way to the front door.  She wondered what that was all about, and tried to rememeber if he had touched her like that BS.  Before Sex.  She couldn't think of any time he had, but she felt like a neurotic 420 smoker yelling "What does it mean?" at a double rainbow.

This book was a quick read.  You don't really get too deep into the characters, and there isn't really much angst or heart break.  The characters and the plot are fun (ok, and a little terrifying), and they feel pretty real to me.  This is the kind of book I think would be perfect if you were lazing around the pool at the hotel or something like that.  A book where you know you will get some laughs, a few sexy scenes, but you know you won't be bawling your eyes out in public.

USA Today and New York Times Bestselling author Erin McCarthy sold her first book in 2002 and has since written almost fifty novels and novellas in teen fiction, new adult, and adult romance. Erin has a special weakness for New Orleans, tattoos, high-heeled boots, beaches and martinis. She lives in Ohio with her family, two grumpy cats and a socially awkward dog.
