Blogger on Blogger Interview: Lisa @ Paranormal & Urban Fantasy Reviews

Happy Wednesday!!  This week only I am running BoB a day early, just to give my interviewee, Lisa, a bit more face time since I have multiple posts scheduled for tomorrow.  So this week its Wednesday, next week back to Thursday!

I interview a lot of authors, we all do.  And it is really a lot of fun, right?  But who is it behind those interviews?  You!!!  So now I want to interview you! This post will run every Thursday (give or take a day due to scheduling) as long as I have people who want to be interviewed!  Check out the tab up there in my tab index for this feature.  That's where you can check out past interviews, upcoming bloggers, and sign up for your own interview! :)

Hi Lisa!  Thanks for talking with me today!  It’s so nice to have you over to Fictional Candy!
It’s so great to be here, Liz! Thank You so much for having me on your blog!

First, can you tell the readers a little something about your website, Paranormal & Urban Fantasy Reviews?

I  started my blog at the end of Dec 2011, as a way for me to reach out to a broader audience and to share my opinions with everyone. I love to read and review Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, and Fantasy books in both the YA and Adult genre. My blog features reviews, interviews, guest post, giveaways, movies and on occasion I list freebies and hot Amazon deals.

What would you say is your favorite part of book blogging?
I know everyone says it, but I would have to agree, my favorite part of blogging is socializing with so many great people, ie: readers, bloggers, authors, and more.
I’ve chatted up with, and became friends with so many people because of blogging and socializing about reading.

Are there any areas of book blogging that you find difficult?
Keeping a schedule, for me is probably the most difficult. I’m a procrastinator, most of the time, so I tend to wait to the last minute to schedule anything on my blog. It really does stink, but try as I might I can’t schedule post too far in advance.
Another aspect of blogging I find difficult is having the time to read and write up reviews in a timely manner. I think I have 13 reviews to write up, and I just haven’t found the time, thank goodness I take great notes and actually write up a mini reviews in my notebook.

If you could only pick one book (so far) for 2012 as a favorite, what would it be and why?
Hmmm..this is a tough question, I have way too many favs, that I couldn't pick just one ;)

You began your blog in December 2011.  In that time, what do you think is the most valuable thing you’ve learned about blogging?
Most valuable thing I learned is keep your reviews free and clean of drama, and stay out of the drama!

Lisa, what is to come in the next year for Paranormal & Urban Fantasy Reviews?
Hopefully, just keep plugging out reviews, guest post, interviews, and more from indie authors as well as published authors. I really love helping authors get the word out about their books. I also would love to venture in other aspects of  blogging with working on new features, and working on opening a blog tour host site.

Something fun, if I had the magical powers to put you into a book’s fictional world, which world would it be?
Without a doubt, I would love to jump into the Night Huntress World  by Jeanine Frost and the reason, one word ---BONES--- I'll be Cat--Meow--

What are your favorite blogs to visit?
Oh my, there really are so many that I love visiting I actually have a mini list of blogs I love compiled here:

But, I do have a few favs that I try to visit daily,

I see on your website that you do a variety of posts, such as guest posts, tours, hops, and reviews.  Which are your favorite?
I would say I actually love the Stacking The Shelves/Sunday Post feature because I love visiting blogs and seeing their great shares throughout the week.

If you could only read one genre for the next 14 years (yes, its random lol), which genre would it be?
Paranormal Romance

Personally, I love a sexy hot villain.  Do you have a favorite villain/bad boy?
Of course, who doesn’t ;) I actually have many, but if I only had to pick one it would always be
Bones from The Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost

You’re favorite author has just written you into a book, and Hollywood has decided to make a movie!  Who do you want to play you??
Ummm. I would have to say ANYONE! lol I really don't have a favorite actress 0-o

Are you an ereader fan, or do you still stick with print copies?
Both! I really do love both. Sometimes it just easier with a paperback, but at night my e-reader is my bedtime pal.

Do you deal much with swag on your website?  What are your favorite types of swag items?
Bookmarks, I’m becoming obssesed!

And lastly, on a lighter note (or maybe not!)… if you have the opportunity to become one type of paranormal being, which would it be and why?
Vampire, all the way!! Immortality, fast, strong, and sexy!!

Thank you so much Lisa for sitting down with me today!  It’s been a lot of fun getting to know you!
It's been a blast, thanks again Liz!!
