Welcome to the first of three posts I have this week reviewing the After Hours series! I am so excited to share this book with you, the whole series really. I absolutely loved it! This is my first read from Elle Kennedy, and I was definitely impressed.
One Night Of Sin is Gage and Skyler's story. The title is a bit of a play on words. Sin is the nightclub that Gage co-owns, and it's also the place where he first saw Sky. She was "eye-fucking" him, as he so sexily put it. And she was. Go Skyler! So anyways - these two agree to sex - for one night. Except it is immediately clear that one night would ever ever be enough. They agree to continue the sex only relationship.
His hand drifted down his chest, palm splaying over his rippled abs, perilously close to his cock. "Now what? You want me to stand here naked? Put on a show for you?"
A strangled sound escaped her lips.
"Oh yeah. You like that idea." Smirking, he curled his large fist around his erection and gave it a slow pump. Heat suffused Skyler's body. God, was this actually happening? Was she seriously watching the sexiest man in the world touch himself in front of her?
D'oh!!!! Seriously - how many times do I have to say it?!? There's no such thing as just sex!! Hahaha. I kid I kid. But it definitely set the scene for some extremely hot and sexy action between Gage and Sky. These two burned up the pages, it was like torturous animal lust leading them through it all. They are great together, and it isn't long before one thing leads to another, ya know?
Individually, I really liked each character on their own, too. Gage is tough. He's an ex MMA fighter, and still very badass. At Sin he functions as Head Of Security. As the story goes on, we see so many sexy sides of him. But we also see how he just doesn't feel like he is deserving or good enough for Skyler. Sigh, the poor guy. Gage really is a good guy.
As for Sky, she's pretty awesome in her own right. Normally she's the homebody "good girl" type. But there is something about Gage that makes her more aggressive, and she goes after what she wants. It was awesome to see her come out of her shell and take matters (and manhood...) into her own hands. She's a bit of a spitfire with Gage, and it worked out well for the story.
There is more than sex in this book too. Gage has an addict for a brother, and it is very much affecting Gage's current life. There are issues that Sky needs to deal with concerning her own family, too.
Really, I loved the book. The whole series is just great, but I think Gage and Sky were my favorite couple. Gage has a a dirty mouth on him that just got me going - and Sky too! Sky is taking life by storm, and all together it's the perfect recipe.
