***Interview***
Hello Cynthia! It’s a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for taking the time for me today!
Now this series of books each focuses on a different heroine. Do you find it hard to give up one character and move on to the next?
It’s always hard to say goodbye to a character that I’ve grown to love but by the end of the book, when I’m sure she’s going to live happily ever after, then it’s okay to move on to the next book…character.
I think Sci-fi is an up and coming genre for female readers, maybe not represented as much as other genres in the past. Do you feel like that is a pro or a con when it comes to writing your books?
I’m hoping that you’re right. I think there are more and more readers of it but it’s still a hard genre to get started in. Luckily, I write these books because I like the stories. If I’m very lucky then I also get to sell them to others.
If you could only write in one genre for the next five years, which one would you pick?
I’d have to choose to the historical westerns, simply because of the sales. I sell about fifteen times the amount of westerns that I do the scifi.
Do you have any favorite books written by other authors you would recommend to readers?
I loved Star King by Susan Grant and I love Warrior’s Woman by Johanna Lindsey
And what do you do when you aren’t writing?
I spend time with my husband. We watch TV or movies, go out to dinner and spend time with friends. I also like to garden. My roses are to die for.
Do you have any other projects in the works?
My next scifi series is about a group of male members of the Swords of Gregara who chase a particularly bad group of villains to Earth. The first place they land is in San Diego.
If you could travel anywhere in the universe for an all expense paid vacation, where would you go?
I’d love to go to Saturn. With it’s colorful rings I think it would be beautiful.
If you weren’t an author, what other profession would you like to do?
I’ve done so many things already and wouldn’t want to go back to any of them. Being an author is a dream come true for me. Something I never in a million years thought I’d do. I suppose that if I weren’t an author, I’d like to run a indie bookstore.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! It was a pleasure getting to know you!

Cynthia Woolf was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in the mountains west of Golden. She spent her early years running wild around the mountain side with her friends.
She worked her way through college and went to work full time straight after graduation and there was little time to write. Then in 1990 she and two friends started a round robin writing a story about pirates. She found that she missed the writing and kept on with other stories. In 1992 she joined Colorado Romance Writers and Romance Writers of America.
Unfortunately, the loss of her job demanded she not renew her memberships and her writing stagnated for many years.
In 2001, she saw an ad in the paper for a writer’s conference being put on by CRW and decided she'd attend. One of her favorite authors, Catherine Coulter, was the keynote speaker. Cynthia was lucky enough to have a seat at Ms. Coulter's table at the luncheon and after talking with her, decided she needed to get back to her writing. She rejoined both CRW and RWA that day and hasn't looked back.
