I interview a lot of authors, we all do. And it is really a lot of fun. But who is it behind those interviews? You!!! So now I want to interview you! I plan on running this post every Thursday - but will probably end it in February after all previously scheduled posts. I have another weekly feature in mind to replace it with, while running these Blogger Interviews on a part time basis.
This week I have Megan from Passionate Encounters! I tell ya, I am learning about so many new bloggers, this has all been a lot of fun for me!
This week's giveaway is a book and some swag! The book is Taken By Midnight, by Lara Adrian. It's #8 in the series, so hopefully you haven't read it. I haven't!! Somehow I've ended up with two copies of it, so that is good news for you! (book shopping and used book sales are a bad mix, my friend!)

Hello Megan! How are
you today?
I’m really good!
Thanks so much for having me here today.
Can you tell our readers today a bit about your website,
Passionate Encounters?
Well, Passionate Encounters is all about that one
word…PASSION. I’ve been hearing for so
long that you have to follow your passion or else you’ll never be happy. Well…my passion for books is outrageous. And animals, those two are vying for my complete attention right now, so
books with dogs featured in them are very dear to my heart. Anywhoo, my passion is to write one of the
books I love to read, and I’m almost
there. I don’t think I could work with
animals though because I would be crying whenever they get hurt.
How long have you been blogging, and how did you get into
it?
Well, I started P.E. one day because I was totally
frustrated with my writing. It wasn’t
going anywhere…basically because of my fear of rejection. So in the meantime, I was reading anything I
could get my hands on whether it be non-fiction, mystery, romance, you name
it. In addition to getting so many books
from review sites wanting me to review that sometimes I forgot to list what
book is to which review site; I also had to write their style of review. And that’s when I threw up my hands and
decided to start my own site.
Who are your favorite authors?
Oh man. Can I just
list some in the romance genre? That
would narrow it down considerably. Let’s
see, J.R. Ward (I have no idea how she writes like she does. Amazing.
Just amazing). Gemma Halliday,
and Maya Banks.
You have a meme on Passionate Encounters, Cover CrazyMonday. Please tell us more!
Actually, that meme came about because I needed to fill
space on my blog. I needed memes! LOL.
Tawni over at thebookworms.org actually had the meme originally, I
contacted her to ask if I could participate but she never contacted me, so….I
kind of borrowed it. Now, keep in mind
that she hasn’t done anything with her blog since 2010 so I think I’m good.
I also see a Donate to ASPCA button your site. I just love animals, and I’m excited to see
this! Can you tell us what brought you
to putting this button on your sidebar?
Is this an affiliate program, or can anyone join?
Anyone can join!! And
please feel free! It came about because
I have such a passion for animals, they are the most giving creatures on this
planet, and there are some ignorant people in this world who have no idea how
to take care of them. I am so mad at
this! And I wish I could do more.
What’s life like for you when you are not blogging?
Right now, I’m preparing to go back to school for web
design. I love anything to do with the
internet, and I would really love to actually design my own website. Other than that, I’m writing my first
romance. ;)
Do you have a special spot that you like to curl up with a
book?
No, not really a special spot. A nice hot cup of hot stuff….coffee, hot
cocoa, or my fav. Spiced apple cider, a blanket, and most of all peace; that
would hit the spot for me.
If you could only read one genre for the next year, which
one would you pick?
I thought you’d
never ask!! LOL This past year (2012), I have discovered
paranormal!! I can’t believe I was only
reading tame(historical, comtemporary) romances before. I try to read outside Paranormal now, and
while I still do very much enjoy those books, they are not as exciting as they
once were. I don’t think anything can
top a sexy vampire story.
I just gave you a book to read, and you hated it. What do you do?
I can’t lie about a
book in a review, people are relying on my honest opinion. I automatically jump right into a J.R. Ward
book after reading a book I hate. I have
to drown out bad with wicked bad. There
IS a difference.
Do you have any advice for new bloggers?
Don’t go with what anybody else is doing or saying, go with
what speaks to you, even if it is out of the box or no one has ever done
anything like it before. If you have a
passion for it, people will take notice.
Before you know it, your blog will have many followers.
Off the top of my head without thinking about it too
much, I would have to say Bella from
BDB. LOL. Zsadist is a beast when he wants to be and
such a kind soul at other times. I would LOVE having him take control.
Thank you for taking the time to talk to me today!
Thank you so much for having me here. It was an absolute pleasure!
