Resplendent Rush by Bella J (Cover Reveal)

Lexi is a vivacious, quirky, and fiercely independent woman with enough attitude and wit to intimidate even the most confident of men. Levi is a sexy-as-hell, cocksure, smoldering hot marine blessed with smooth swagger and cool confidence to charm his way into any woman’s bed. The one thing they have in common, though, is their disinterest in finding love. She’s determined to not let love interfere and dictate her life. And with his career, he doesn’t need the emotional ties and baggage of love, and dreams of white picket fences.

But a few chance encounters have these two tangled up in one wild, passionate, explosive ride which neither of them expected, and which leaves them completely and utterly addicted to each other. Already in too deep, Lexi stubbornly fights her growing feelings for him and refuses to become vulnerable against the power that love seems to yield. She has witnessed firsthand how loving someone can destroy a person, leaving him defenseless against a life of emotional turmoil. She refuses to let it happen to her.

Levi knows that Lexi is holding back. He knows that she is keeping a part of her heart guarded. He’s determined to burn down the walls she so desperately clings to, and make her surrender her all to him. But with his long-lost brother’s unexpected return comes an inexorable danger that he will do just about anything to protect her from—even if it means losing her, and in the end, breaking her heart.

Hey!  So not too long ago I reviewed Resplendent Ruin.  Now I am back with Resplendent Rush, which is the story of Lexi, Juliette's sister.  Lexi is a bit more wild and carefree, so I am definitely interested to see how this goes!!

When We Fall by Marquita Valentine (Review)

Title: When We Fall
Series: Take The Fall #2
Author: Marquita Valentine
Release Date: December 8, 2015 - Loveswept
Format: Ebook received for review
Pages: 202 Pages per Goodreads

The last time Piper Ross saw her best friend’s sexy older brother, Jase Simmons, he was being taken away in handcuffs. Seven years later, two things haven’t changed: Piper is still head-over-heels in love with him . . . and Forrestville’s chief of police—Piper’s dad—still hates his guts. So when Piper sees a chance to get close to Jase, she makes her move—literally. As his new roommate, and as the office manager of his tattoo shop, Piper won’t be satisfied until Jase knows that she wants to be his.

The quintessential good girl, Piper is pure temptation for Jase. The only reason he’s always kept his distance is because she’s the last person he’d ever want to hurt. But once he realizes that Piper is ready to take the leap, everything just makes sense. Suddenly Jase feels like a new man—until nasty rumors start swirling and Piper’s heartless father stirs up even more trouble. Now Jase must convince Piper that she wasn’t wrong about him . . . because falling in love never felt so right.

Ok, so when I read this book I didn't realize it was number two in a series.  In fact, I didn't realize til just now.  So if you have any questions about whether you can jump right in, the answer is yes.  If you have any questions about whether you should jump in, the answer is hell yes.

Caught For Christmas by Skye Warren (Review)

Title: Caught for Christmas
Series: Stripped 3.5
Author: Skye Warren
Release Date: December 7, 2015
Format: Ebook received for review
Pages: 93 pages per Amazon

I’ll be home for Christmas…

The plan is simple. Break into the club and steal the money I need to save my father. The ex-military bouncer isn’t going to stop me, even if he is hot as hell.

If only in my dreams…

Except he has a curious knack for knowing my next step.

And there’s something dark underneath his desire, something dangerous. If he catches me, he might not let me go.

As a personal general rule, I stay away from Christmas books.  I'm not even sure I have an exact reason, I just don't like to really get inundated with that seasonal...mush. However, this is Skye.  If anyone could make me like a Christmas romance, it's her.  So did I?

Perfectly Imperfect by Harper Sloan (Review & Giveaway)

Title: Perfectly Imperfect
Series: Standalone
Author: Harper Sloan
Released: November 17, 2015
Format: Ebook received for review
Pages: 408 per Goodreads

Mirror, mirror … who’s the fairest of them all?

I still cringe when I hear that line. A fairy tale that had girls pretendingthey were the fairest, the most beautiful, and the most entitled. A fairy tale most couldn’t grow out of turned my haunted childhood memories into a living nightmare. Girls who grew up believing that pile of garbage became the meanest of all ‘mean girls.’

And those mean girls were right – it was a line meant for all the beautiful people in the world – and I knew the answer would never be me.

The women with long legs, flat stomachs, and perfect chests.

The type of women Kane Masters gravitated toward.

Well, that’s definitely not Willow Tate.

No. That will never be me.

Because I’m completely imperfect.

And … I hate myself.

I have no idea what Kane could possibly see in someone like me when he could have them.

While I ultimately enjoyed this book, there are parts that I had mixed feelings about.

Reaper's Fall by Joanna Wylde (Review)

Title: Reaper's Fall
Series: Reapers MC #5
Author: Joanna Wylde
Released: November 10, 2015 - Berkley
Format: Galley
Pages: 384 per Goodreads

He never meant to hurt her.

Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.

Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.

Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

Oh Reapers Reapers... I love you guys!  This is definitely my favorite MC out there, and Joanna Wylde is an amazing author for bringing them to life, book after book.  Reaper's Fall is all about Painter and Melanie, and it's a definite ride!

Tough Enough by M Leighton (Review)

Title: Tough Enough
Series: Tall, Dark and Dangerous #2
Author: M Leighton
Released: November 3, 2015 - Berkley
Format: EGalley
Pages: 336 per Goodreads

He’s a fighter who never loses, but is he tough enough to win her heart?

There was a time when I had everything–a wonderful family, a bright future. Love. But all that was taken away in a single night, torn from me like flesh from bone. Since then, I’ve hidden away in my second-choice job as a makeup artist. But I prefer it that way, actually. I’m comfortable in the shadows, where no one can see my scars.

Kiefer Rogan literally took my breath away the moment I met him. MMA champion-turned-actor, notorious playboy, charming to a fault—he’s everything I vowed to avoid.

But he just wouldn’t stop until I opened up and let him in. Maybe I should’ve tried harder to resist him. Maybe I shouldn’t have fallen in love with him. Because I, of all people, know that everyone has secrets. Scars. And that they’re usually ugly and painful and destructive to the people we love most.

I just never guessed that they could be deadly, too.

Where Strong Enough was a brute force hit full of excitement, Tough Enough travels more on the emotional side and deals with some very sensitive subjects.  Tough Enough has cemented that this is a series to watch.  M Leighton smashes it again.

Crave by JC Emery (Review)

Title: Crave
Series: Bayonet Scars #5.5
Author: JC Emery
Released: November 1, 2015 - Left Break Press
Pages: 79 Pages per Amazon
Format: Ebook received for review

SHE’S HEARTBROKEN. HE’S A HEART-BREAKER.

Elle Phillips’s relationship with the Forsaken Motorcycle Club is strained, much like the relationship she had with her father, a Forsaken brother, before he died. The only piece of Forsaken that Elle wants to hold onto is their sergeant-at-arms and her former lover, Sterling “Bloody Knuckles” Grady. Unfortunately, Grady’s moved on and he doesn’t seem to be coming back. With her heart hurting over one man who’s died and another who’s practically dead to her, Elle throws herself into her work as a private investigator and tries to keep a low profile where the club’s concerned. But when a case comes along that she can’t refuse, she finds herself embroiled in club business in a way that leaves her questioning everything she thought she knew about Forsaken.

Diesel knows that keeping tabs on Elle Phillips is going to bring him trouble. He already loves her even though he barely knows her, but when Grady asks Diesel to keep her safe, he can’t say no. His patience has run out and he’s going to do anything to get Elle to realize he’s the man she’s been craving— even going behind the club’s back to help her solve a case she shouldn’t be working.

Real love is always the cure.

I love the Forsaken MC!  I know I have said it before haha.  JC Emery really has developed a terrific series here, with characters that I really care about.  I think that is quite an accomplishment, to create something that the readers (and definitely not just me!) connect with.
