Guest Post/Giveaway: Rosanna Leo, author of Sunburn

Sunburn
Rosanna Leo

Patience O’Conner is a travel blogger who lives for her work. Her dedication to her readers brings her to the famed Helios Resort in Mexico, a locale that stuns her with its beauty but at which she suffers from some very strange accidents.

Luckily, hunky resort bartender Apollo Delos is always there in the nick of time, a malcontent guardian angel. Apollo stuns Patience again and again with his life-saving abilities, to say nothing of his smoldering looks and apparent desire to keep her alive.

Before long, Patience wonders if there is more to the sexy bartender than mixed cocktails and insane first-aid skills. Something strange is happening at Helios and Apollo doesn’t want to talk about it.

Can Patience open herself up to this enigmatic man, even though she is terrified to be vulnerable again? And can Apollo recover from an eternity of hurt and learn to trust once more? They must both decide before Death comes calling.

Today I have the awesome pleasure of welcoming Rosanna Leo to Fictional Candy.  If you haven't met her, you need to!  She is one of the nicest funniest people I've met!  And on top of that, her books are superb!  Today she is here with an interview of Patience, from Sunburn.  And then at the end there is a giveaway for you to win a copy of Sunburn yourself!  (Giveaway is international, ends 2-16-13, winner has 48 hours to respond to winning notification or a new winner will be chosen)

Hello everyone! Many thanks to Liz for allowing me to visit Fictional Candy again. I’m thrilled to be here!

In honor of an impending Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be fun to interview my heroine Patience O’Connor from my new paranormal romance Sunburn. Patience is gearing up for a very special Valentine’s Day with her hero, Apollo, Greek god extraordinaire. Not every woman out there gets courted by a veritable Greek god, so I thought Patience might have some interesting plans for Heart Day.

Rosanna: Welcome, Patience. I’m so happy to get a chance to talk to you again!

Patience: Thanks Rosanna, and thanks Liz. I’m very pleased to be here.

Rosanna: Patience, your beau Apollo makes one heck of a Valentine’s Day date. Be honest: do you thank your stars every day that you’re sleeping with that man?

Patience: (in a hushed voice) God, yes. (Fans self) Just thinking of him, of his sparkling blue eyes and his muscles, makes me break out in a cold sweat. Apollo is a very generous and inventive lover. And being a god, well, the boy never gets tired. He’s been blessed in the stamina department. I am so lucky.

Rosanna: (impressed) Indeed! So, this is your first Valentine’s Day with Apollo. Have you discussed plans, or is he whisking you away somewhere secret?

Patience: Apollo is the god of truth, which means he’s really bad at keeping secrets. He can’t lie, not even little white lies. It’s an awesome trait in a mate, but he can’t really hide anything from me. I can read that man like a book. You should have seen him when he was trying to hide his supernatural nature from me. He was fit to be tied!

Rosanna: So, no secrets then. Will there be music on your Valentine’s date?

Patience: Absolutely! Apollo says his god portfolio is rather extensive, and he is god of music as well. Music will have to be involved in some way. Oh, I hope he sings to me! He has the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heard. Deep and haunting and penetrating…(she trails off). Sorry! I got carried away thinking about things that penetrate.

Rosanna: Okay, Patience! Down, girl. Now, Apollo is also god of the sun. Will you perhaps be doing any sun worshipping on your date?

Patience: (dreamy expression on her face) I worship the sun every day….

Rosanna: Hmm, we’re not getting many answers about your date, Patience.

Patience: (snaps to attention) Right. Sorry. He’s just a little distracting.

Rosanna: I understand. Well, Apollo is also reputedly the god of healing. Will you perhaps be visiting a medical facility?

Patience: (staring off into space again) I don’t know, but that man can heal me any day….

Rosanna: Whew! (turns to Liz) Sorry guys. I don’t think Patience is in much of a sharing mood today. Granted, I hear Apollo keeps her pretty busy these days, and I doubt I’d share him either. I’m sure whatever they end up doing for Valentine’s Day will be a treat. (Pauses) I’m also pretty sure it’s going to involve a ton of animalistic sex.

So, there you have it! Thanks for joining me anyway. I hope you all have a wonderful Heart Day. If you’d like to know more about the distracted Patience and the very sexy Apollo, feel free to check out Sunburn. Just bring your sunscreen.
